This Love Is...

This love is patient and it is kind
It makes me envy and it makes me blind
I wish I could boast and be very proud
And scream "I love you" extremely loud
I am not rude and I am not self-seeking
I am not easily angered when you are speaking
I try not to keep any records of wrongs
Happiness with you is what my heart longs
I do not delight in the evil of youth
All I ask is to be given the truth
I'll protect you forever if I have your trust
I hope we'll persevere and we'll never bust
I'll take your troubles and all that entails
I want you to remember that love never fails

I remembered a conversation over this bible verse, that i had with someone that i love alot, while i was in the middle of writing another poem today... i had to stop and get this one down... i love it and i hope that i get lots of comments and fav's from this one

Hey Those are my favorite verses and I LOVE THE WAY you did this, the words are powerful with meaning and they flow so well together! Wonderful job here :clap:

I am an athiest....or however you spell it...and I do not believe in the bible and all that...but that poem is partly correct....:)

Well, I know for a fact that when you are in love, you inore every wrong, every fault...thats what I was thinking when I read it, anyways... you seem to think that the person that you are in love with has no flaws, and if they do, you ignore them or the people who are telling you about the flaws...I dont know! hahaha... its more of an emotional thing...you cannot describe it...:)

well in a way i did ignore all of her wrongs when i was talking to her... but when she wasnt around, they ate away at me... ie: i try not to keep any record of wrongs... i tried to make her perfect... i knew she wasnt, but in my eyes, inperfection is perfection... alas, she cheated on me, and there's definately a record of that... lol
